For a free healthy Maicao HIV / AIDS last December 1, 2009 in the Municipality of Maicao Guajira Educational Institution Number Two, organized a day for prevention of HIV / AIDS under the responsibility of a group of young people committed to their community convened the Municipal Health Secretariat and the Hospital San José, who together took over the main square of this town where we made a series of activities designed to inform about the importance to care for your body to all the people who frequent or work around this by taking advantage of that Maicao is a border town visited by people from different places and the neighboring country of Venezuela. • We did a prayer for life
• Educational talks about prevention viha / AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases
• Providing information in brochures in partnership with the San José Hospital and François-Xavier Bagnoud Foundation
• Providing condoms preventive material to nationals and foreigners who visit our town
• Free AIDS Tests conducted by the Hospital San Jose with a mobile laboratory in the square.
• Maicaero wear the red ribbon, Link To Life: Students shall be awarded the red ribbon to all people who come to the square
The event was held from 7: am to 1:00 pm for the purpose of: Education, inform and prevent HIV / AIDS
