MANAGEMENT PLAN 
The October 21, 2009 was the second meeting of the Management Committee of the Biosphere Reserve, which approved the management plan submitted and agreed to the publication of an enforcement document that summarizes the plan and have mass distribution. It was also agreed to establish a Management Committee responsible for monitoring the implementation of this Plan.
More than 50 experts appointed by each of the public and private entities that make up the Management Committee were in charge of generating the guiding instrument for the area in the next five years.
Plan Management seeks to begin planning a strategy for economic development and environmental tourism in the area called "Biosphere Reserve Campaign" Peñuelas ", as awarded by the UNESCO in 1985. It seeks to reconcile the activities of biodiversity conservation with economic and social development, and maintaining associated cultural values.
The five committees that worked on the document for almost a year were Science, Culture and Technology Advancement and Outreach, Biodiversity and Landscapes, Tourism, and Products, Services & Brands, which produced a document about 80 pages in the that propose strategies to follow to achieve the objective pursued by the Biosphere Reserves, which must now be signed by the Management Committee.
One of the most striking lines of action is one that is related to the implementation of the process to make products and services provided in the area will be eligible for a hallmark that has this spirit of environmental conservation and sustainable development. The first step for them was to register the mark Biosphere Reserve "La Campana Peñuelas, a task that was given by CONAF.
