Miguel Fuertes new regional champion
The matense Miguel Fuertes Fernández (Jimi), son of Miguel and Pilar, won the gold medal in the regional championship traditional bow in Board, held in Guijuelo.
He was the sole representative of the province and managed to get up on top of the drawer in the Senior Men Traditional Recurve discipline. The competition consisted of two sets of 30 arrows at a distance of 18 meters, which classified the 8 participants with high scores. Fernández Fuertes scored 252 points, another record of Castile and Leon. Passed the second stage and had to be measured at other rivals in the playoffs to the best of six points with three arrows per archer at the same distance of 18 meters.
The final pitted José Enrique Rodriguez Miguel, Valladolid, Spain as well as champion, and was resolved by a close 6 to 4, with 14 to 13 in the last entry of 3 arrows.
The mode in which they competed this Leonese forces to fire without any help by pointing, with the glove and the classical way, looking at the target, calculate how much lift the bow and releasing the arrow.
